Before we move on to Week 17, let’s take a look at the results from Week 16:
It was my worst week in a while, but it seemed like everybody had a bad week. I still finished in the top half and doubled my money.
This article, like most of our articles this week, will be a holiday speed run. Not only were the holidays this week, but my real job was in a giving mood and gave me lots of homework. We’ll be back for real with the Week 17 Recap.
On to Week 17! Here’s the team I’m rolling with this week:
QB – Chase Daniel (SD@KC) – $5,000
Another cheap backup quarterback to stack my team elsewhere
Also considered: Russell Wilson ($8,600), Robert Griffin III ($6,600)
RB – Le’Veon Bell (CIN@PIT) – $9,400
RB – Arian Foster (JAX@HOU) – $8,600
Both are fantasy monsters with excellent matchups. Expensive, but worth the risk.
Also considered – Matt Forte ($8,800), C.J. Anderson ($8,300), Matt Asiata ($6,400)
WR – Odell Beckham Jr. (PHI@NYG) – $9,200
WR – Eddie Royal (SD@KC) – $6,000
WR – Paul Richardson (STL@SEA) – $4,900
As we’ve covered, Beckham isn’t human, and he’s going against a not-so-great Philly pass defense. Royal is seeing increased targets with Keenan Allen injured. Richardson takes the place of the injured Jermaine Kearse. His targets have increased over the last few weeks.
Also considered: Antonio Brown ($8,900), Kelvin Benjamin ($7,400), Kenny Stills (6,000)
TE – Greg Olsen (CAR@ATL) – $6,400
Olsen is probably the top tight end in fantasy football with Gronkowski out and Jimmy Graham falling off the face of the earth.
Also considered: Tim Wright ($4,500)
K – Mason Crosby (DET@GB) – $4,900
Crosby has been money at Lambeau.
Also considered: None
D – Seattle Seahawks (STL@SEA) – $5,500
The Seahawks are in a (relatively) must-win game at home against an offense that is very generous to fantasy defenses.
Also considered: Houston Texans ($5,400), Baltimore Ravens ($5,200), San Francisco 49ers (5,000), Minnesota Vikings (4,800)
TOTAL – $59,900
