Derek: I spent the day knowing I was going to pick the Bengals. Then I saw the spread. Man alive, that’s a lot of points. The Browns have lost three in a row and JFF isn’t a great answer in the short term, but Cleveland has been competitive in most of their games this year. Only the Jets and Rams smacked them around. They were competitive or victorious in their other six games.

I got cute and picked the Dolphins to cover last week, and I have learned nothing. I’m picking Cleveland. The Bengals are undefeated against the spread this year, but they haven’t been favored by more than 3.5. Are they going to be able to handle a double-digit spread against a divisional rival? Will they take Cleveland lightly after a big win in Pittsburgh? There are too many red flags for me to lay that many points. I say the Bengals win by 10.

Will: I, on the other hand, spent all day knowing I was going to pick the Browns. Oh man, I feel so bad for Cincinnati. Those Bengals don’t know what’s coming. There’s nothing more dangerous than a man with his back against the wall. At this point, I think the Browns are actually inside the wall, which makes them all the more dangerous. They’re going to burst out that sumbitch like the Kool-Aid Man and give Andy Dalton’s boys a smackdown they’ll never forget. I’m just glad this is going to be nationally televised so everyone will get to see it. Browns by 35.
